I am interested in the ways big-picture ideas shine through small details and moments. I explore this through films, painting, photography and writing.

When I paint, I sculpt with the “clay” of my own digital photographs. I add, subtract, shape, mix colors and refine until the picture feels resolved.

My documentary film Moments Of Truth looks at the human relationship with animals and the environments we share, incorporating filmed interviews and spontaneous encounters recorded throughout the United States. The production unfolded over several years living on the road full time with my dog Henry.

I am based in Northern California, and my career path includes editorial and media production roles with Academy of Art University, Encyclopedia Britannica, Northwestern University, Scientific Learning Corporation, Project Coyote, Singularity University, LifeBook publishing, the documentary series Global Mosaic and my present role as a speaker and educator at New Roots Institute.
